What do I do to run for an office?


President (must be a Junior or Senior), VP, Secretary, Treasurer, Reporter, Sentinel, Student Advisor, etc

What is required of me?

Complete 2 semesters of AG SC prior to holding office
Be a dues member of the Texas FFA
Organize/Hold FFA meetings
Attend 75% of FFA Officer meetings
Set Program of Activities (at summer meeting)
Attend State FFA Convention in July
Attend District/Area Conventions
Maintain responsibilities of office elected (see chapter handbook)
Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
Sale 10 or more items in each fundraiser and promote its purpose to assist in your travel expenses for the year.
Be prepared to fulfill functions of the chapter needs, formulating mailouts, advertisements, working with the
  Young Farmers, assisting with show details, etc.
Be ready to make a difference in your community and school.
